Word of Mouth?

What does “Word of Mouth” mean anyways?

How about this for a definition…

http://bit.ly/1zK3xqH In marketing, word-of-mouth communication (WOM) involves the passing of information between a non-commercial communicator (i.e. someone who is not rewarded) and a receiver concerning a brand, a product, or a service.[2] When WOM is mediated through electronic means, the resulting electronic word of mouth (eWoM) refers to any statement consumers share via the Internet (e.g., web sites, social networks, instant messages, news feeds) about a product, service, brand, or company.[3]

In a culture of skepticism, we really crave a subjective opinion don’t we? Subjective opinions are real to me, how about you? When I hear a marketing message smothered in facts and figures, man, I just tune out and know I am being sold something. No one wants to be sold anything, they want to be informed and believe what they are buying is trustworthy. I have trust in people’s personal experiences but not likely in corporate speech.

What does HAPPYFLOORS.Ca do? Do we change the world and instill world peace? Do we heal the sick or fix an economic crisis? Not exactly. Well, not even close. However, we do bring peace to your home and office. When the cleaning is done by someone other than you = Peace in your world. A clean office or home is a healthy office or home. Economic crisis, well, when you pay a small business to provide a service you do help boost the economy.

Word of mouth from one of our customers, Melanie Longley and her champ… Mr. Longley.

With three dogs, Three kids and a husband who never seems to take his shoes off in the house… the kitchen floor was a mess. Kevin from HAPPYFLOORS.CA came over and within an hour, our kitchen floor was restored. The surface and grout was like new and I was a happy camper. Thanks HAPPYFLOORS!

Melanie Longley
